NF HERO: KIRSTEN & TAYLOR HALBERT
"Taylor and Kirsten are 5 year old identical twins with neurofibromatosis. Being diagnosed at a very young age, we began our journey of having children with a medical condition. After many appointments with doctors here in our area we realized that we had to look out-of-state to find doctors focused on neurofibromatosis.
Since about 2 years of age we have been traveling out-of-state for our daughters care. As the visits started increasing so has the cost of traveling. Having a NF clinic here in Las Vegas would relieve so much of the stress brought on by travel expenses and emotional burden of traveling with small children. I long for the time when our travel expenses take us on vacations, not to hospitals."
